Propane, also known as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG/LP), is a commonly used popular energy source. Although it is under pressure and and stored as a liquid, it's normally used as a gas. So it comes into your home in liquid form and is pumped into a storage tank. Then the it comes out of the tank as a gas. To compare CFLs and LEDs with incandescent bulbs, use lumens, not watts. Watts are a measurement of energy, while lumens measure brightness.
